Who is this course for?
This course is designed for learners who are considering to appear for the NAT 5 Mathematics Qualifications Scotland exam. It provides opportunities to enhance skills in planning and organising, working independently and within teams, critical thinking and decision making, research, communication, and self and peer evaluation, in a range of contexts.
What topics will be covered?
The course covers the following topics:
- Algebraic Skills:Working with algebra, including expanding brackets, factorising expressions, completing the square, simplifying algebraic fractions, solving linear and quadratic equations and inequalities, rearranging formulas, finding the equation of a straight line, and solving simultaneous equations.
- Geometry & Trigonometry:Understanding shapes and measurements, including Pythagoras’ theorem, properties of circles (such as arcs, sectors and tangents), similar shapes, vectors, and basic trigonometry (SOH CAH TOA, sine and cosine rules), as well as calculating volume.
- Numeracy & Statistics:Using numbers and data, including percentages, fractions, reverse percentages, compound interest, increase and decrease (appreciation and depreciation), rounding using significant figures, and handling data such as drawing and reading graphs, finding the mean, median and mode, interquartile range, and drawing a line of best fit.
- Reasoning Skills:Reasoning skills involve thinking logically, explaining methods clearly, and applying mathematical knowledge to solve problems. Students are expected to interpret information, justify their answers, show clear working, and check that their solutions make sense. These skills help learners tackle unfamiliar and real-life problems with confidence and accuracy.
The tuition covers the entire Qualifications Scotland National 5 Mathematics course specification, ensuring that all required topics are fully taught and reinforced in line with Qualifications Scotland standards. Where any gaps are identified, additional support sessions will be provided to ensure each learner is fully prepared and confident to undertake the National 5 Mathematics exam.

Tuition Fee Discount (National 5 & Higher – Mathematics and Computing Science)
To support students and families, we offer the following discount schemes:
- Early Bird Discount
Students who enrol early (Before May & June 2026 upcoming sessions) will receive a 20% discount on the total monthly fee for the first two months of tuition. This offer is available for a limited time at the start of each intake.
- Sibling Discount
Families enrolling more than one sibling will receive a 10% discount for each sibling, applied throughout the entire duration of the course. This discount applies to all enrolled siblings.
- Referral Discount
Students who refer a friend will receive a 10% discount on one month’s fee, and the referred student will also receive a 10% discount on one month’s fee. This applies once per successful referral.
- Multiple Courses Discount
Students enrolled in two courses (e.g., Mathematics and Computing Science) will receive a 10% discount on the monthly fee for both courses for as long as they are enrolled in both.
